Give A Home is a registered NPO and was founded in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. “Our drive stems from the passion we have, to ensure as many South Africans have a place to call home as possible. Housing is a human right. There can be no fairness or justice in a world in which some live in homelessness.”
The Give A Home NPO, along with its generous donors, builds homes for families across South Africa. Dramatically improving the lives of the millions of South Africans who do not have homes, or live in informal settlements & squatter camps.
In South Africa, it is estimated that over 5 million people do not have a home or live in squatter camps and informal settlements. They mostly lack proper sanitation, safe water supply, electricity, hygienic streets, or other basic human necessities.
Give A Home’s strategy is to build affordable homes at scale by; receiving generous donations from individuals & companies, using cost-effective building technologies and generating innovative ideas.
All donations that are received by the Give A Home NPO will go towards the planning, materials, labour, furniture and equipment needed to construct as many homes as possible.
